The Value of a Professional RICS Level 2 Survey
A RICS Level 2 Home Survey is one of the most valuable inspections a homebuyer can commission. Progressive deterioration, if left unidentified, can lead to significant secondary defects including structural movement, damp penetration, timber decay, and costly remedial works.
A professional home survey can:
-
Identify defects before exchange of contracts
-
Highlight urgent repairs and maintenance liabilities
-
Assist in purchase negotiations
-
Provide reassurance to lenders and prospective buyers
-
Support budgeting for future repairs
-
Reduce the risk of unexpected expenditure after purchase
-
Timely diagnosis almost always results in lower long-term repair costs.
